Well, although they're bot Celtic-punk bands it's pretty hard to compare them. FG is more arty, acoustic, feeling driven band while Murphys are more punk, energetic and fast paced. Flogging Molly are better imo but still...
POSTED: 01/09/2013 12:13pm

Molly's signature album is Drunken Lullabies. DKM is harder to say, depends on if you're looking for more of a Celtic or a Punk sound. They're last album (Going out in Style) was very good, my personal opinon
POSTED: 01/11/2013 12:33pm

The dropkick murphys haven't been "punk" in years. Their last 3 or 4 albums are closer to thin lizzy-esque rock then their punk roots.

I didn't like this newest album as much as their last, that being said, I will still go see them live since they're amazing to see on stage.

Best Flogging Molly, I'd say Whiskey on a Sunday or Drunken Lullabies. Best Dropkick Murphy's, a tie between Blackout, Going Out in Style and The Meanest of Times.
POSTED: 01/11/2013 07:45pm
