IMO The Black Parade was way too contrived and over-produced. i'll take I Brought You My Bullets and Three Cheers over it any day.

that kind of opinion bothers me to no end.

bands are allowed to make every album different. especially a band like MCR who likes to make concept albums. they write music to fit the concept.
they're not thinking about making sure it's "bad-ass" or "dark" enough.
Danger Days was like a comic book story... therefor the songs were a bit more pop/rock and had a futuristic energy to it.

i don't see why people can't just accept it for what it is and move on.

Ever heard Lamb of god's "Wrath" and "Resolution" albums?
The production on those lightyears past what you would consider over produced, but it sounds amazing.

what i do regret, is forgetting that according to the internet, Nickelback is the only band anyone is allowed to use the word "over-produced" for.

Whether or not TBP was more produced - not a bad thing, by the way - than the records before it, it's difficult to call it a bad album. The band itself was also intimately involved with the production; I don't think it's fair to call it *over* produced. Just...more production value than the two before it.
