Learn to not anchor then. I can play hours without my wrist or fingers touching the body, or bridge.

Get a G3 DVD and check out Satch and Vai, that's how you play solos without resting on the bridge.

I love this guitar and I have no problem with the detuning because of resting my hand or whatever. It takes a lot of practice to figure out how to palm mute and rest your hand when you play guitar, but once you get it, you can do it on any guitar. You have to be very gentle with the tremolo. It's really sensitive. So new people who like to use a lot of force and arent as smooth of players should watch out for that

The balance is pretty good. The neck doesn't try to come up or fall down on you, like with some guitars. It just kinda stays where you want it, and when you just let the guitar hang on its own, the guitar is at a comfortable angle for both your fretting and picking hand.

Well,i am playing electro guitar for over 6 years.Never had an ibanez before,but i know some series of them suit my style,which is called blackened-death,perfect.

I like the overall of this guitar,but my question is for all those who listen to blackened-death like stuff(dissection,belphegor,melodic death),should i buy this one or,any other in S series?İs there anyone here who played both?

The stock pickups are "vintage" pickups, they have some power, but theyre far too clean for my style in music (punk), Id prefer more low eqs and punch for palm mutes! ^-^ ... other than that, its a damn good guitar... ... unless you break a string onstage! (grrr!)

Hey, whats the access to the upper frets like?(frets 22-24). Also, i have heard from a friend that a few of the upper frets are scalloped. Is this true? Thanks

This is not true, none of the frets, including 22-24 are scalloped on any of the wizard necks. scalloping is completely unnecessary with a neck as thin as a wizard.

The wizard neck on this particular model of the RG guitar is actually a 5 piece, three maple, and two mahogany, and is as solid as steel, and straight as an arrow. between the neck and the bridge, this guitar is outstanding.

PS : I play mostly metal , and hard rock. Slayer/Pantera/Metallica/Death/... stuff

Must be a run of bad luck you're having there. All my Ibanez RG's (going from a £350 cheap and cheerful to grand and a half ish prestiges) have never had any of these problems you mention.

My first Prestige RG is knocking on for 22 years old and its all original kit and I still gig it....
