this album is fantastic, anyone who appreciates music for the overalls and not just because its dance....should definitly check this album out, lyrics are so clever, sound is fantastic, guitar riffs are so clever, everything about it is astonishing....and the craziest thing ever is, the oldest member of this band is only 19!!

I could say that they're a bunch of phonies, who's ripping off fallout boy, but it would contradict my saying "Its impossible to come up with something original" Instead I will say...

Its nothing I havent heard. No surprises here. Clearly, they are all talented musicians. Its a shame they couldnt use those talents to produce a better genre of music. The writing is crappy... The drummer knows whats goin on. The bassist has it. The GUitarist is nothing special. I've heard more dynamic rythm from garth brooks.....

I can see why people would like this record. I've only heard a few songs off of it but since those few songs sound pretty much exactly the same I think I've got the jist of the album. I think if they stuck to that kind of "The Faint"-ish sound, they might be a little more appealing.

So pretty much they only thing they've got going for them is a relatively decent vocalist with nice melody, and a(n almost wasted) potential to be a better electronic band.

Very true with some bands. I think Panic does sound like FOB, but there are some original bands i.e. Coheed and Cambria (NOT Rush inspired), Funeral for a Friend, and Rage Against the Machine/Audioslave.

i think it would be wise of you to actually read what i wrote. i said "use" those instruments. and it really doesnt matter if they dont play those instruments because its something different. let me ask you if you can name another band that has their sound? perhaps you should think with an open mind? i think its a bit hypocritical when people condemn a band for being different, and they say that being different is a good thing. just putting that out there.

they are one of the only bands out there atm that i like which are not remotely depressing, while there's still enough meaning in the lyrics for them not to be cheesy.

as a band, they aren't too much like fall out boy. but when i first heard "the only difference between martyrdom..." i could have sworn it was pat singing. but then after searching the net for panic info, i was proven wrong. thats the only song brendan really sounds like pat. but thats it.

overall, i like the cd. i'm a mixed genre person, mostly liking metal/hardcore stuff but i like FOB and PATD. it's good stuff. sometimes metal is just too heavy and you need something to calm down to.

i just rambled my brains out. never again.

I agree on the fact that Brendan Urie can't sing. It's not terrible, but it's so very unoriginal and uninspiring. I think i would like them a whole lot more if he could sing better.

I'm sorry, I know that this has nothing to do with Panic!At The Disco, but Green Day never did such a thing, just because they became popular doesn't mean they sold out. I'm sure Panic!At The Disco won't do it either. They are both really great bands and should be treated as such. They are shaping the teenage culture the right way. I mean at least they are better than the rap and hip hop stuff out there.
Besides, I believe that Green Day's old music was also about teenage stuff, you know, drugs, masturbation, goofing off, dating, etc. And they weren't considered sell outs or said "shaping the teenage culture in the wrong way".

More importantly... anyone who hasnt heard/doesnt like Panic, just try and hear their album before you make that judgement because personally i think their music is genious.

Panic!At the Disco is a great band and they're new, so of course they won't have a million CDs out there.

i'd have to say my favorite songs would be the entire second half. It was a thrill for me when most of those songs where turned into vids. I felt that the band knew how i felt and wanted to express it to the world. I'd recommend this band to anyone who thins outside of the box and will understand the true meanings of the songs.
I can't wait until the new album!
