Campaign to Turn Kurt Cobain's Childhood Home Into Museum Failing Really Bad
A campaign for turning Kurt Cobain's Aberdeen childhood home into a museum was launched via GoFundMe 18 days ago (March 2), but is failing quite badly, reaching only $135 of $700,000 goal.

"We're making sure this house is memorialized by us fans so it doesn't end up in the clutches of capitalist greed," the campaign description reads. "This museum will reflect the anti-commercialism spirit of Nirvana."

Campaign organizer has also posted a few interesting photos and a video of Kurt's old room, allowing us in a way to see Cobain's childhood through his own eyes, including Iron Maiden and Led Zeppelin writings on the wall, as well as a grim view over Aberdeen.

As the description further reads, the first step involves preserving the house. Ideally, the house would later "contain actual donated items from his life."

Although the campaign isn't going too well at the moment, there's still time to turn this one around, head overĀ here for more info.
