Chad Smith Vs. Will Ferrell Drum Battle Officially On, Charity Goal Fully Met
An epic drum battle between Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith and comedian Will Ferrell is officially set to take place, as the $300,000 charity goal was fully met.

As reported, meeting the Cancer for College fundraiser was the only condition for the showdown to take place, now making the epic clash inevitable. There's still one day to go until the campaign's end, you can make a donation here.

"Wow! You guys raised over $300k for Cancer for College! The Will Ferrell vs. Chad Smith drum battle is on!" the comedian tweeted.

The idea of a "drum vs. cowbell showdown" came up during Chad's Reddit AMA session. "I need you ... drum battle, me and you. I've seen your skills. You don't got 'em. Let's go. Golden cowbell, winner - boom!" the drummer told Ferrell, who was quick to come up with a reply.

"Hi, Chad. Will Ferrell here," the comedian kicked off. "I saw your video and I graciously accept your invitation to a drum battle. If we can raise $300,000 for Cancer for College I will face off with you in the greatest drum vs. cowbell showdown the world has ever seen. We can do it on stage at a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert or in front of a mutually convenient public library. Your call. Also, would you rather fight a hundred duck sized ducks or one horse sized horse?"
