French metal masters Gojira confirmed that their new record is currently in the early making stages, announcing "a different approach" and "some killer stuff" on the way.
Chatting with Skulls N' Bones during the latest US tour, frontman Joe Duplantier commented: "We are composing riffs on this tour, we're kind of recording demos in the back lounge of our bus. It's a very weird thing to do - writing songs without jamming all together in a room, so I'm not a big fan of that."
Noting that such an approach can still result in great tunes, Joe added: "It's a different approach, but we have some killer stuff happening on the bus right now. It's really, really too early, we don't have one single song finished, but we have some pretty killer stuff and we're excited, we wanna make an album."
Gojira recently wrapped up their tour with thrash icons Slayer and were confirmed among Soundwave Festival 2014 performers earlier last month. Their latest studio effort, "L'Enfant Sauvage," saw its release in June 2012 through Roadrunner Records.
