Pearl Jam Members, Weird Al Take ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, Pass It to Fellow Rockers, Obama and One Direction
Joining the viral ALS Ice Bucket challenge, several prominent rockers helped spread the word of the campaign that has already crossed $11 million in donations.

Among such rock musicians were Pearl Jam's Mike McCready, who passed on the challenge to fellow PJ members and Duff McKagan among others. Singer Eddie Vedder was quick to respond, sending a shout-out to Bruce Springsteen and Niall Horan of One Direction, by his daughter's request.

Another rocker getting the ice was Weird Al Yankovic, who seemed to enjoy the splash quite a bit. His list of invitations was pretty grand, as it included President Obama, Dalai Lama and the Pope.

As for the campaign itself, the ALS Association has received over $11.4 million throughout the Ice Bucket campaign, as numerous celebrities have joined the cause, along with over 220,000 donors.

"Never before have we been in a better position to fuel our fight against this disease," the official letter reads. "Increased awareness and unprecedented financial support will enable us to think outside the box. We will be able to strategize about efforts in ways that previously would not have been possible, all while we work to fulfill and enhance our existing mission priorities nationwide."
