Thom Yorke on New Radiohead App: 'Your Screen Is Window Into an Evolving World'
Thom Yorke has released a statement on Radiohead's official website (via Rolling Stone) about the band's recently released PolyFauna app.

The app, which was conceived while the band was working on 2011's "The King of Limbs," allows fans to move around their iOS and Android phones and tablets to reveal different views of an angular alternate reality. The imagery and sounds of the app are taken from the song "Bloom:"

"It comes from an interest in early computer life-experiments and the imagined creatures of our subconscious," Yorke said. "Your screen is the window into an evolving world. Move around to look around. You can follow the red dot. You can wear headphones."

Radiohead bassist Colin Greenwood recently told Drowned in Sound that the status of the new Radiohead album is "all up in the air at the minute," noting that Thom Yorke is having some down time after touring with Atoms for Peace: "I'm sorry to be vague but we're all just taking it easy at the moment. Just enjoying being at home and hanging out really."
