AC/DC: Brian Johnson Cancels Solo Tour To Undergo Surgery

AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson has cancelled his upcoming solo tour to undergo surgery.

The 64-year-old singer was due to start the promotional run on Feb. 7th in Knoxville, Tenn., but axed the shows for a scheduled wrist operation.

The trek was to feature Johnson telling stories from his "Rockers And Rollers: A Full-Throttle Memoir" book which was released earlier this year. Skid Row's Rachel Bolan (bass) and Scotti Hill (guitar) were set to join the AC/DC legend for the musical portion of the shows.

In an interview with PopEater.com promoting his book, Johnson was asked if AC/DC planned on recording a new album and touring in the coming year. "I'm going to see the boys and we'll probably have a little pow wow and a chat to see how we're feeling. We never ever say 'we're going in the studio January next year,' if you do that me darl you're straight under pressure and we've never worked like that. We've always been very easy going. We're like migrating birds, we smell the air and scratch our arses and say, 'Hmm think it's time'".

There is no official word if Johnson will be rescheduling his solo dates after he's healed from his surgery.

Thanks for the report to Noisecreep.com.
