According to Reuters/Billboard, Anglo-Australian rockers AC/DC made their first appearance on the Hot Dance Club Play chart this week with "Rock N Roll Train", which rolled onto the survey at No. 48. "Rock N Roll Train" also ended the seven-week reign of Metallica's "The Day That Never Comes" on Billboard's airplay-based Mainstream Rock chart. The album from which it comes, former chart-topper "Black Ice", is No. 6 on The Billboard 200, having shifted 1.3 million copies in the United States since its October 20 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
" Black Ice" is exclusively available via Wal-Mart, Sam's Club and AC/DC's web site.
Special "pop-up" AC/DC stores are open through January 9 in New York City and Los Angeles, where Wal-Mart does not have stores.
AC/DC kicked off its world tour in support of "Black Ice" on October 28 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
Fan-filmed video footage of AC/DC's November 12, 2008 concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City can be viewed here (clip uploaded by "rockstartix4u").
Thanks for the report to Blabbermouth.net.

What the **** are you talking about? Charts don't choose what songs go on them... It's determined by the song's popularity, dumbass.POSTED: 11/21/2008 - 11:46 am / quote |

I'm happy to see that Rock N' Roll Train is on this chart because I've always told people that you can dance to AC/DC and this just prooves my point.POSTED: 11/21/2008 - 12:02 pm / quote |

My main issue with both the album and the single are that they lack that high energy that a younger AC/DC could have delivered. The songs are all good, but they're not raw.POSTED: 11/21/2008 - 05:33 pm / quote |

i actually thought that Rock n roll train had more energy then some of AC DC's more recent stuff. Like brian johnson's voice i think is more raw and powerful then anything after their back in black and thunderstruck days :]

AC/DC kick Metallica's ass. Rock n' roll train's not their best song but Day that never comes sucks compared to the stuff Metallica worte before they sold out. DTNC is a cheap, badly done copy of One.POSTED: 11/23/2008 - 07:33 am / quote |
