This dude is a fu.ckin bully. What kind of piece of sh.it threatens the mother of his kids in front of them?

He should have been punished for it.

Any form of threat or violent bahaviour to a woman is completely wrong in my opinion. Especially in front of his kids ffs! Should defeinately be punished for this.

Geeto6 :
So the judge let him off with no punishment at all because he is part of a huge rock band. That is such BS.

don't play koy and innocent on this as if the mother of two is an angel. for all you know, she could've been a conniving bitch who wants more of his earned fortune.

at the very least he pleaded guilty, that makes him pretty decent to admit that he made a mistake, but he shouldn't have done it in the first place

"Witschke is the second high-profile celebrity"
ask half or probably more of the population "do you know who phil rudd is?" and they'll have no clue...to me he's more of a musician than celebrity right?

i personaly think that the assault thing is screwed up.. violence against men and women should be treated the same.. i bet if he assaulted a man.. the court wouldnt have even brought this matter in at all

but it wasnt right of him to do it in front of the kids

so glad that the courts are leneant in NZ,
Guys just so u know he didnt get let off cuz hes famous or anything but because in NZ the courts are more relaxed cuz so much stupid stuff happens.

So dont accuse the guy for receiving special treatment despite what the article says.

P.S. im only into violence if its sexual and agreed on

Hate to break it to you, Ultimate Guitar, but this news is 6 months old! You obviously took it from Anti-Music News without bothering to read the date on the article.

Bored to Tears :
It's not that big of a deal. The article said he held her over the side of the boat and her with his chest or something. I thought he used someone as a punching bag before I read the article, now that would've been bad. But to hold someone over a boat..? Big deal, I'm sure she can swim. And from his side of the story, he was helping her from falling off the boat.

I'm sure this woman has done something to the drummer to make him want to throw her overboard, even though he didn't. To think that the woman would be completely innocent in this is ridiculous.

he should have just gotten a big fine or something, jailtime would have been too much for assault, although what he did was still not right.

i must say i that none of us really know what happened therefore any judgement we make would be quite inaccurate. i wouldnt judge him as people are employed to do that for me ie judges

They want equal treatment? Give it to them with a fist!

Just kidding.

But I doubt Phil would have actually hit her.
