Out of the blue, AC/DC decided to give fans another slice of heaven. And the fans, checking back daily on the AC/DC MySpace page, immediately noticed the new tune blasting out their speakers. This tune is called "War Machine". The following was taken from Blabbermouth.net:
"A new AC/DC track entitled "War Machine" is available for streaming on the band's MySpace page. The song comes off the Australian hard rock legends' first studio album in eight years, "Black Ice", which will arrive on October 20 and will sold exclusively at Wal-Mart, Sam's Club and ACDC.com in the U.S. All three plan multiple promotional campaigns aimed at the group's millions of fans."
Due to overwhelming demand,
AC/DC have added second dates at the Allstate Arena in Chicago (November 1) and at The Forum in Los Angeles (December 8). The band's official fan club is holding an on-sale for these tickets that will function exactly as all others have. If you have already picked up a passcode for Chicago or Los Angeles but you were previously unable to purchase tickets, the codes will work for the new shows.
The band's November 9 show at Boston's TD Banknorth Garden sold out within 15 minutes as did the November 21 Columbus, Ohio, gig at that city's Schottenstein Center. Toronto fans took all of 30 minutes to snap up sell every single ticket for the 25,000-seater Rogers Centre.
To deter scalpers from selling tickets above box office price, the band is using the Paperless Ticketing system. This means tickets will not be transferable, and concertgoers will need only the credit card they used to purchase the tickets and a picture I.D. to enter the venue.
AC/DC's new video, "Rock 'N Roll Train", can be viewed here. A higher-quality version can be found on ACDC.com. The clip was shot on August 15 in London, England and is the first taste of the band's new "Black Ice" album, due in October.
AC/DC was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003. The band has sold more than 200 million albums worldwide, including 69 million in the U.S. alone.
"No Bull: The Director's Cut", a chronicle of the band's famed July 1996 concert at the Plaza De Toros De Las Ventas in Madrid, Spain, was released on DVD and Blu-ray September 9th.
Sold out in 15 minutes? That is ridiculous.
