Joel O’Keeffe and David Roads left their mark, quite literally, on one of their fans in Glasgow, Scotland.
Frontman Joel and axeman Roadsy swapped their guitars for a tattoo gun to get under the skin of fan Max Hewat before their headline slot at the Barrowlands.
The pair took turns to sketch and tattoo their original band logo and their initials onto tattoo artist Hewat’s leg at the Custom Inc studio in Glasgow with Joel warning he was "shithouse" at art in school.

Joel said: "I don’t want to fuck up but I was shithouse at art in school.
"I don’t have any tattoos but if I was going to get one I think I’d get the bike from the front cover of Bat out of Hell flaming away. I love that album, the cover and everything about it so I’d get that with Bat Out of Hell written under it too."
Roadsy continues: "If I was going to get a tattoo I’d probably get my grandpa’s navy tat. It was an eagle design and it was pretty cool and old school.
"We have met a few fans with Airbourne tattoos but we’ve never been asked to do one before.
"We actually did sign a guy back in Australia who was going to get our signatures tattooed but we didn’t do a great job of signing so I think the tattooist had to fix our signatures too."
Airbourne were in town last month on tour in support of their most recent album, No Guts No Glory, which was recorded in the Criterion Bar in their home town of Warrnambool in which they have revealed they were kept company in the derelict building by rats.
But they won’t be able to record any future albums in the hotel, which holds great sentimental value to the band, who played their first show there, after it was gutted in a blaze.
Roadsy continues: "The tour is going really well and it is our third time back in the UK this year and we still have people coming to our shows which is great.
"We recorded the album in the Criterion Bar which was actually a bar we used to work in and the place we played our first show.
"It was all derelict but the guy who owns it used to be our boss so he gave us the keys and told us to set up and use it as long as wanted.
"So we spent a couple of months in there with our gear, a couple of kegs and worked on all the stuff we’d written – as we’d written a lot on the road during the Running Wild tour.
"We write about things that happen to us and our lifestyle so maybe we’ll write about tattooing a fan."
The Aussie rockers can count Iron Maiden, Motley Crue, Motorhead and the Rolling Stones among a long list of bands they have shared a stage with but who was the best – and the worst?
Roadsy continues: "The best was probably Lemmy. We’ve done a few tours with him and spent the most time with him I think. Before we started shooting the Runnin’ Wild video with him we were all sitting in his limo drinking Jack Daniels.
"He spoke a lot about his Motorhead days and gave us advice about the industry. He’s been around and is a very knowledgeable guy so that was great.
"Everyone we’ve toured with have been great but we’ve toured with Motley Crue a few times and we’ve never really met the rest of the guys.
"Nikki Sixx has always gone out of his way to speak to us and has come to our band room and have a beer with us. He is a really cool guy but we never really saw the rest of the band so I don’t know why that is.
"Although we’ve toured with some great bands there are loads more we’d love to do a tour with like Aerosmith or Metallica – that would be awesome."
