Arcturus have confirmed rumors that the band is spliting up on their official website. The rumors started when the band played a show in Melbourne and the band's lead singer, Simen "ICS Vortex" Haestnes, opened the show with "Welcome to the last Arcturus-show ever."

Blomberg, also made the following statement, according to Blabbermouth.net: "
Yes, we are splitting up. There is no more time for all of us as everyone [is] extremely busy. But there has been some killer 16 years or so. See you next time with Mayhem or Dimmu, and those bands [are] not likely [to] split up any time soon."
