Avenged Sevenfold: 'We Have a Lot of Faith in Asking Alexandria, They Remind Us of Ourselves'
Avenged Sevenfold guitarist Zacky Vengeance has been talking with 99.7 the Blitz about up and coming bands that he rates. As Vengeance notes, he's a fan of Asking Alexandria, and is keen to see what they come up with next:

"It's a tough question because a lot of the bands that are really fun to watch that I think bring a lot of energy and really dominate a crowd are bands that are earning their success; bands like Five Finger Death Punch. I have a lot of faith in a band like Asking Alexandria. They're young - they definitely remind me of myself when I was their age. They're trying really hard. They're touring, they're having fun doing so. They've got great guitar players and are working on becoming even better, working on expanding their show. And I like to see that."

Vengeance also talked about how it feels to meet young bands who were inspired by Avenged Sevenfold:

"Any time I see a new generation of rock and metal musicians, it starts to make me feel old. But for them to come up and say they listened to us growing up and were inspired by us and then seeing what they're doing - I can't wait to see what bands like that do in the future."
