Axl Rose Is Thankful For 'Free Dr Pepper For Everyone' Campaign

Tired of a world in which Americans idolize wannabe singers and musicals about high schoolers pass as rock 'n roll music, Dr Pepper is encouraging Axl Rose to finally release his 17-year-in-the-making belabored masterpiece, "Chinese Democracy", in 2008.

In an unprecedented show of solidarity with Axl, everyone in America, except former GN'R guitarists Slash and Buckethead, will receive a free can of Dr Pepper if the album ships some time — anytime! — in 2008. i have heard some of the chinese democracy songs leaked off the album (or live recordings) and i must say that i'm not impressed. chinese democracy is a joke and it is not going to be as perfect as dr. pepper hopes. the new album is not going to be GNR. it's more like an axl rose solo effort.
on a side note, i think it's funny how slash and buckethead are excluded from getting a free dr. pepper.

....You serious? I'm guessing you haven't heard...well, any of the songs from the album, even the songs that didn't make the cut don't sound like My World. That being said, if you buy the album hoping for Guns N' Roses, you're going to be disappointed. This is as close to Guns N' Roses as Velvet Revolver is; use your own judgement there. Personally, I love it. It could be an acquired taste, I don't know. If they kept making songs like those though, I'd be okay if Guns never got back together.
