Beatallica Part Ways With Bassist

Milwaukee-based Beatallica, a satirical mashup act whose hilarious schtick marries the songwriting prowess of the Beatles to the deep-throated rock growl of Metallica, have parted ways with bassist Kliff McBurtney (real name: Lee Bruso). Bruso's statement on the matter reads as follows:

"Seeing as I can't find a cutesy way to sugarcoat this, I'm just going to come out and say it. Yesterday morning I received a call from Jaymz [Lennfield; real name: Michael Tierney] informing me that, due to me not living in the Milwaukee area, Beatallica no longer requires my services. I was hoping there could be a way to work around this but it's an avenue they choose not to explore. I'm told they are moving forward with the guy who filled in for me on this last tour and he is the one they will be taking on tour in Europe this coming spring. While I understand their reasons, I can't say that I'm pleased with the outcome. I was really looking forward to getting back out there again to play for all of you.

"So what happens now? I go back to being Lee Bruso and continue on playing music. While I have nothing on the slate at the moment I am pretty eager to get back to writing and performing original material again. dude their stuff's pretty funny, i dunno what the deal with "they suck they aren't original" is, there are plenty of tribute bands out there. these guys actually did something more original than most of them by combining the beatles and metallica of all things, if you don't know about them maybe you should go check them out rather than whine about it.

They don't pay respect to the bands? The name of their band includes both bands names. The titles of the songs include name from both Metallica and The Beatles. Their site says that the original songs were created by the Beatles, along with some of the music from Metallica. What more do you want from them?
