), Black Label Society
mainman Zakk Wylde
has announced that the band is working on a follow-up to the band’s 2010 album "Order of the Black
."Wylde notes that the band "has just been writing, writing, writing every day since we got home"
from this year's Gigantour
, and promises that they will be "back in the Black Vatican to make new Black Label Krispy Kremes of doom"
in the near future. The album is apparently slated for a spring release."It'll have all the heavy riffs and other stuff everyone knows and loves,"
Wylde promises. "'Order of the Black' was already three years ago, which is pretty insane. But the whole time we've been working, touring and stuff like that; it's not like we've been sitting around the house. It's crazy because back in the beginning of Black Label we were pumping out an album a year and constantly touring. But don't mind doing it this way, either."
BLS are set to release their latest concert DVD, Unblackened, on September 24th. The set will feature stripped down arrangements of Black Label Society Songs, as well as a number of new studio recordings, including a cover of <>bBill Withers' "Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone
