Brand New Feel The Venom Of Blink 182

Brand New, who are on tour across Australia with Blink 182, have just found out what it is like to tour with a famous band.

"Yesterday they had their security guards come in and yell at us for something that we hadn't done" Jesse Lacey tells. "We were all sitting in the room and these two huge dudes were screaming at us".

Of course, this was Blink-182 playing a joke on their not so worldly support band but Brand New didn't know that at the time. "We didn't get the joke until after they left the room" he said. "We thought "oh man were they serious". One of the kids, who was with us hanging out, was close to tears".

Brand New were accused of causing a ruckus next to Blink-182's room. "They said we were throwing things over the wall and came in and said "that's not cool". They were big dudes. It was either Tom (Delonge) or Mark (Hoppus) who set it up. They told the dudes to "go yell at Brand New". It was pretty funny".

The word for Blink-182 is beware. "That was the ice-breaker" Jesse says. "We didn't want to draw first blood but now we have free reign".

I think Brand NEw is a kick ass band. They deserve at least some credit if not alot!! I mean if u look at their lyrics & tab of their songs, the lyrics get pretty dark & heavy & the tab is rather hard to play.

okay churro, check your facts before you go ranting...if signing to a major record label is selling out, then both of the bands that you claim are "real punk" are sellouts. The Sex Pistols are on Universal and the Clash are on Epic (owned by CBS). Not only were those bands just as popular if not more popular than both Blink and Brand New, but being on a big label is not selling out...its when you compromise the integrity of the music. So show some respect for these guys who go out there, put there heart into there music and connect with people. If it doesnt connect with you, too bad. But until you write a brilliant record, dont be so quick to shoot your mouth off.

Yeah, Brand New is one of my favorite bands. And I agree with the fact that they have some of the best lyrics ever. Especially on Your Favorite Weapon. Listen to the songs "seventy times seven" and "sudden death in Carolina". Most amazing lyrics I've ever heard.
