has maintained that his band the Killers will "keep on digging"
and have no plans to split, despite his own plans to release a new solo album in 2015, NME
As it was reported earlier
, Flowers is working on the follow up to his 2010 solo record "Flamingo
" with Haim
and Vampire Weekend
producer Ariel Rechtshaid
However, Flowers has a message for fans worrying that this spells the end for the Killers. "We've been lucky and we've checked off a lot of boxes, but you always want to grow and get better, write songs that you haven't written. And maybe that no-one else has written,"
he says. The frontman adds: "We're explorers, and so we're going to keep on digging."
Speaking to NME, Flowers said: "The record's not done yet, but I'm excited about it... I'm liking it."
He also admits that the album is less influenced by his hometown of Las Vegas than "Flamingo" was. "People are going to interpret it how they will, but there's only a little bit of Vegas in there."
