Brokencyde Arrested On Drug, Rape & Child Pornography Charges?

According to TMZ, Brokencyde are facing drug, rape and child pornography charges after having their bus stopped in New Mexico.

The band are alleged to have been pulled over by a patrolman on Tuesday 20th July at approximately 8 AM central time after the vehicle they were traveling in hit radar trackers traveling at 70 MPH, 15 over the posted speed limit of 55.

“Upon entering the vehicle, the patrolman immediately smelled marijuana, and smoke was apparently visible in the cabin.” said a commanding officer today who then stated “A member of the band was with a female passenger, later discovered to be at the age of 14.” the girl, band, and six other occupants including a sound technician and body guard were arrested at the scene and transported to The City Jail.

As well as all of this, the police are also said to have seized various drugs such as marijuana, cocaine, and LSD, as well as a laptop said to be containing hundreds of pictures displaying the members of the band engaging in sexual activities with who authorities assume are women under the age of 18.

A statement from the band or their record label is yet to be issued.

This is probably one of the only bands on earth deserving of actual hate... sure, with Journey, Oasis, Creed, Fall Out Boy, etc. I dislike their music and sometimes their whole persona, but these idiots both make terrible noises passed off as "music" AND are terrible excuses for human beings. agreed. they are a disgrace to music. along with probably Bring Me The Horizon and most of these scene/scenecore bands that care more about their image than the actual music. I may really dislike other bands, such as corporate *****s like Jonas Brothers, but I respect even them more than these bands. I heard Joe Jonas was in a production of Les Mis, and they gave me a tiny ounce of respect for him.

my sister used to listen to these guys. thank god she stopped. they call themselves "crunk-core". how the **** could your state of mind in any sense define the crap you make as music. look at people like santana, hendrix, greatful dead, clapton, etc... they all used drugs at some point in their career but didnt resort to defining their music by their drug use. its sad, that this is what music comes to. i dont condone drug use, its up to the individual, but it shouldnt be glorified as it is by people like this, it needs to be properly explianed.

in relation to the child pornography/rape, i bet the majority of them were consenting, even if underage. i guess people who follow bands like this wouldnt have put much though into it though, what the outcome of thier actions may be.

Just listened to their song "Freaxxx." I don't their supposed to be taken that seriously... The music's awful, but it's like the band knows that their music is awful and they don't seem to care... The music is so bad... that it actually makes for pretty funny listening. It's so bad... that I actually like it. My first post still stands, notice I never added "if this is true..." I don't care if it is a hoax (though I'd believe it if it weren't), they are still raping music. They make the Jonas Brothers sound like Iron Maiden. I felt like putting my head under a moving train to remove any memory of their songs from my head. Playing them in the presence of any number of living organisms should be considered a war crime. If you willingly submit yourself to this band more than once you may have a serious and untreatable condition and should seek immediate medical attention from the nearest tall building or cliff.

I would rather listen to ICP than that crap. That is how awful Brokencyde is. I would rather listen to what I once considered the worst music in the world than that ear rape that is "crunk core". They've taken the worst of modern rap and modern scenecore and managed to make a worse band than ICP.

On a side note, it's too bad they aren't in jail for rape. I believed it at first, and really kind of hoped it was true just so I might never hear of them again.

I'm the one who mentioned those bands (I didn't say I HATE them though). I've never heard FOB's older stuff--just whatever was on the radio. Absolutely hated it, I felt the music was really unoriginal, the lyrics were stupid, and I didn't like the singers voice. Since I dislike every facet of the band I don't feel compelled to go listen to anything else by them... BUT I recognize that at least they are musicians and that their music does appeal to others so go for it. I don't really think they're a disgrace to music (especially compared to this drivel).

As for Journey... if I had heard "Don't Stop Believin" once, I would have laughed, said "Oh man, what a bad, cheesy song... wow." and moved on. But I haven't heard it once. I've heard it about 1,000 times the amount it would have taken me to grow sick of it. I know people who think Journey is the greatest band in the history of ever and it pisses me off. So I just think they're the most overrated band ever, not necessarily one of the absolute worst.

I do usually try to respect other people's musical opinions... Brokencyde should be honored to be one of the exceptions.

Haha I posted pretty much all of that... Ironically, I'm usually one of the most open-minded individuals around. Here's why I make an exception for Brokencyde (and only this one group--I am not making any sort of comment on any genre as a whole): I love music. It's one of the most important things in my life. And this band is taking a dump on everything I love. From the looks and sounds of them, they couldn't care less what their "music" sounds like as long as they get drunk and laid. On top of that, they can't sing (everything I heard was auto-tuned), rap badly, scream unnecessarily, have lyrics that make Bret Michaels look positively eloquent and don't even bother to include melody or song structure. If I were a devout Catholic, I would be incredibly offended if, say, Fred Phelps (of WBC infamy) became Pope. That's how insulted I feel as a musician that Brokencyde exists.

Just because someone makes music does not make them a musician, I myself /am/ a musician, I've studied operatic vocals since I was 6, I know quite a bit about musicianship. A problem with saying Brokencyde is actually a band worth listening to is that all they sing about is abuse , rape , drugs , and sexual harrasment .
