Children Of Bodom: 'Blooddrunk' Lands At #22 On Billboard

Finnish metal giants Children Of Bodom’s brand new album Blooddrunk skyrockets to #22 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart this week, shifting over 19,000 units in its first week of sales.

Released in North America on April 15 via Spinefarm/Fontana International, Blooddrunk is Children Of Bodom’s sixth studio album, and is the highest charting record in the band’s sales history. Blooddrunk’s first week sales are roughly three times the opening tally of its predecessor, Are You Dead Yet?, which premiered with 7,500 units back in October 2005 to land at #195.

Blooddrunk also debuted at #2 on the Billboard Independent Albums chart and at #3 on the Billboard Top Hard Rock chart. The Top 25 Billboard debut capped a string of exceptional worldwide charting positions for the band, highlighted by a #1 debut in its native Finland. Blooddrunk also debuted at #7 in Canada, #10 in Germany, #12 in Japan, #19 in Austria, #28 in Sweden and #44 in the UK.

i got bored listening to it. best track was banned from heaven. ive loved bodom from something wild to hate crew deathroll and honestly, these guys need to kick it up on the next record or they might pull a metallica and just get worse over time :C

but i love old bodom. new bodom needs to gtfo and bring old bodom back!

Honestly, this album is really bad. Coming from a long long time bodom fan, it's crap. Utter crap. Are You Dead Yet? was so much better than this. And Are You Dead Yet? was crap.

so what exactly was it that made it worse than Are You Dead Yet? don't judge it based on the title track, i thought that was the worst single they could pick on the album.

Bands evolve over time and develop their own sounds as they wish to, don't expect a band to put out albums year after year and still have them sound the same. It's sometimes for good and sometimes for bad but it is the bands' decision not ours.

Good start. I think Blooddrunk is a really good album. Are You Dead Yet? was a bad album from them, (Are You Dead Yet? is not a bad album but its bad if you compare to the other albums Children Of Bodom have released) but I think Blooddrunk takes them back to a higher level. The old albums are better but Blooddrunk is really good.

Man, I don;t see why so many people hate on Blooddrunk. It's a little short yes, but a good album nonetheless.
