Chris Martin To Star In The Simpsons

It has been announced that Chris Martin is due to appear in the upcoming season of the Simpsons.

He will star in an episode where Homer wins the lottery and hires the band to play an exclusive gig for him and Bart and is due to be aired in America this winter.

Al Jean, the Simpsons executive producer explains how, "When Bart goes to the bathroom, Coldplay has to stop."

Martin is the latest in a long line of celebrities to lend their voice to the popular American cartoon following in the footsteps of other musical guests like Fall Out Boy, The White Stripes and Metallica.

Another lame cameo where a celebrity will attempt to act when they aren't even an actor, while the Simpsons characters kiss their arse. I agree with FearOfTheDuck up there ^.

i enjoyed the writing staff from season 2 through 10 the most, particularly john swartzwelder (genius). i still think that it's amazing.. just different talent behind the scripts and appealing to a different generation.

though i envy chris martin for his wife and money (not so much the music), good for him to now be among those immortalized in Springfield, USA.

this sounds like a crappy episode but i will say that the simpsons is a better show than family guy. simpsons has been on for 20 years and they still have new, original, fresh jokes. family guy is the same 'this reminds me of that time i _____' which gets boring. simpsons FTW!
