Cliff Cooper the man behind the brand of Orange Amplification has been awarded the respected Music Industry Association (MIA) Living Legend Award 2011 in a ceremony at the prestigious Marriot Grosvenor Square Hotel in London.
Cliff Cooper, serial entrepreneur (founder of Orange Management, Publishing, Records, Amplification and of course the legendary Orange Shop), has always been at the cutting edge of music amplifier design and technology. Since launching the Orange brand in the 60’s he has been a prominent figure in the music business and has been at the forefront of developing the instantly recognisable Orange picture frame cabinets and helping create the distinctive Orange amplifiers sound. From the early days where BB King, Marc Bolan, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page and Stevie Wonder all came to use and love the Orange sound, Cliff has been instrumental in working closely with the best musicians on the planet and today the brand continues to be the first choice of many of the biggest bands in the world.
