Courtney Love: 'Kurt Cobain Loathed Dave Grohl'

Courtney Love has slammed Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl saying that Kurt Cobain “loathed� him.

Cobain’s ex-wife Love has been locked in a feud with Grohl since the release of Nirvana’s box set 'With The Lights Out,’ amid legal conflict in 2004.

Writing on her Myspace blog, Love said: “As for that drummer, well he's hit on me so many times. He's just a very very conflicted guy about me, which is why he continually writes songs about me to hear he 'hates' me more than 'anyone else.’�

It’s been widely rumored that the song, 'Let It Die,’ from Foo Fighters new album, 'Echoes, Silence, Patience And Grace,’ is about the fragility of Love and Cobain’s relationship.

"Kurt loathed HIM more than anyone else (except a journalist). In his will he made a codicil that Grohl was no longer a member of Nirvana. I just ignored the guy and will continue to."

She continued: "Dave knows this, and he takes it out on me! Hey, it wasn't MY band and it wasn't MY idea! It's funny he 'hates' me since I don't think about him.

"He's just sub-mediocre kind of [guy] who does this 'nice guy' nonsense. There isn't a word he could he say that would ruffle my feathers, honestly. Anyway what a fun, fabulous, special evening!"

All the footage I've seen of Nirvana together all looked like all three members were pretty close. I think people saying Nirvana are over-rated are missing the picture. Sure Kurt couldn't shred and what not, but his lyrics, Chris's bass lines, and Dave's great understanding of the drums changed almost an entire generation.
