Sludge metal legends Crowbar have signed a worldwide deal with E1 Music. The band will release the follow-up to 2005's "Lifesblood For The Downtrodden" this fall.
Commented guitarist/vocalist Kirk Windstein, "Crowbar is very excited to have landed this deal with E1 Music! We have always been very proud of what we do and the new record will not disappoint and of our diehard fans."
Windstein continued, "Big thanks to Jamey Jasta, Steve Ross and the legal team at E1 Music. Get ready, with a real label behind us, we will crush!"
E1 Music Vice President of Metal Scott Givens added, "Crowbar have influenced a generation of great bands and E1 is fully committed to making this the band's biggest-selling record of its long and storied career."
Crowbar debuted two brand new songs during titsheir June 5, 2010 headlining performance at the House Of Blues in the band's hometown.
Video footage of the performance can be viewed below. The entire show can be viewed at Tyronehood.tv.
Crowbar supported Brazilian/American thrashers Sepultura on their recent European tour.
Crowbar recently parted ways with guitarist Steve Gibb and replaced him with Matthew Brunson, bassist of Kingdom Of Sorrow (which also features Windstein).
Crowbar's November 20, 2009 concert at the City Club in Houma, Louisiana was recorded for an upcoming live album.
Crowbar is truly one of the most underrated bands in heavy music. "Time Heals Nothing" and "Broken Glass" are two of the heaviest records ever. It's cool to see them on a new label and making some new music.
