Deviates Return After 8 Year Hiatus

According to DyingScene.com, former Epitaph Records recording artist Deviates are apparently set to get back together after an 8-year hiatus.

The band, who called it quits back in 2003, just posted an announcement on their Facebook page stating that a new album and tour for next year are in the works. The band simply wrote:

"The eight year break is over and we're back from the dead. We plan to release a new album and tour next year. Deviates rise again!"

The band has given no further more information regarding their reunion, except their Facebook page states that it will feature best known lineup of Brian Barbara (vocals), Charley Marshall (guitar), Damien McDougle (bass), Donnie Conrad (drums).

Deviates released their last studio album "Time Is The Distance" in 2001 on Epitaph Records.

I wasn't saying anything about the quality of their music. I was making an observation on the fact that this reunion announcement article had been posted for 6 hours before anyone commented on it -- 7 hours before someone who has heard of them -- and it is being featured in the shortlist at the top of the news page.

It's still had more activity than their Wikipedia page, though.

I'm clearly not the only person who has no idea who this band is.

However, I did find a few songs on YouTube that I will check out when I get a chance. That way, I can educate myself and be a more happy little fellow.
