DJ Ashba: 'I Would Take A Bullet' For Axl Rose

According to Blabbermouth.net, in a brand new interview with Celebzter, Guns N' Roses guitarist DJ Ashba was asked what GN'R lead singer Axl Rose is really like. "He's a f'n prick! Nah, I'm only joking!" Ashba replied. "He's actually very misunderstood by the media and people who don't know him. People like to assume sh-t. Now, granted, I can only speak for me, but truth is he is one of the funniest and coolest motherfuckers out there. I would take a bullet for him."

Ashba recently teamed up with BullyVille.com, the Internet's first anti-bullying social web site and media platform. The guitarist used BullyVille.com himself to reveal his struggles coping with being bullied as a child by his own father.

Ashba joined Guns N' Roses in March 2009 following the departure of Robin Finck.

In addition to Ashba and sole original member Axl Rose, the current lineup of Guns N' Roses includes guitarists Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal and Richard Fortus, bassist Tommy Stinson, keyboardists Dizzy Reed and Chris Pitman and drummer Frank Ferrer.

I saw these guys in Liverpool UK on 20/05/2012, I have to say they were really good, I mean REALLY good. Having not heard much of DJ before I was very impressed, he is one fantstic guitar player. They did a full 3 hour set too, not many bands are on for that long. Axle sounded better than ever too.

There has only been 2 other "New Guns" Lead Guitarists. Buckethead who left after 4 years and Robin Finck who was in the band for 10 years before leaving to go back to NIN (he even played with Guns recently so there's no beef).

Bumblefoot replaced Buckethead in 2006 and Richard Fortus has been in the band for 10 years. The only people Axl is speculated to have fired are Sorum and Clarke. So yeah nice saying something really stupid.

Yes, he'll even where a tophat for Mr. Rose to pull the wool over the eyes of any casual concert attendees that don't follow the daily soap opera known as Guns n' Roses. I think I've grown a little exhausted of that Vegas-act of a washed up band. Just saw Slash and the Conspirators, one of the best shows ever. Even the bassist sings better than Axl can (Appetite version of You're Crazy, anyone?). Slash is the real rock n' roller at this point, not that red-headed stepchild. Wonder if he's been hangin' with Wayne Newton lately?
