Dylan: My Hat's Off To You, Lady

Brazil - If at first you don't succeed at stealing Bob Dylan's hat, try a kiss instead.

A young Brazilian woman rushed onstage during Dylan's encore in Sao Paulo on Thursday night, hugging and kissing him and trying to swipe his Cordoba hat before three bouncers whisked her away.

When he finished the encore, the normally untalkative Dylan thanked the audience and said he wanted to meet the woman so he could give her his hat. It was not clear whether they met.

Local media later reported that the woman was seen after the show with a group of friends singing: "I kissed Bob Dylan, la, la, la."

Currently on a Latin American tour, Dylan is scheduled to perform in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday.

I saw Bob Dylan in concert, he was a pain in the butt. He didn't talk to us ONCE during the whole concert. Just played his songs while facing the LEFT half of the theater. Oh, I was on the right side of the theater. And if you think I'm being picky, you shoudl know there were all sorts of people yelling things at him like "half of the audience is over here" and "Look this way, Bob!"

I finally got to see that it was in fact Bob Dylan at the end of the concert when they bowed for the middle.

Yeah Dylan does some cool stuff with his fans...there's a video on youtube and a girl comes up on stage...he looks over and jumps back like he shit himself it's hilarious...but then he calls security off and lets her sing the song with him. "The Times They Are A-Changin'"

Bob's a person...and unlike most performers he's been touring almost non-stop since the early 90's. I'm sure some nights it feels like a job for him...he has good days and bad like anyone.

i saw bob dylan, and he seemed like he was in a pretty good mood. didnt talk much, but he seemed nice. at the end he dipped his hand in his hat and pretended to sprinkle holy water on the crowd. Hes funny

Well first of all who cares if Bob Dylan isn't facing you during a concert. As long as you can hear his music and be there then that's all that really matters. If they only had speakers on the one side of the venue then I could maybe see a reason for complaining. And you should be fortunate you seen the Dylan's back, it's more then what most people will ever see lol. Also, if I was going to a concert I would rather have the performer not talk at all as Bob does because that means more songs and less talk. I hate how some musicians go on stage and talk between every song and spend more time talking then playing.

Also Bob comes across as a shy guy, but he doesn't need to say much to get his point across. He lets his music and lyrics do the talking. That's something that a lot of musicians need to learn.
