Evanescence are back in a big way.
The band’s self-titled album – it’s first in five years – debuts at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart after selling 127,000 copies in its first week.
It marks the band’s second consecutive #1 debut; the group’s last effort, "The Open Door," hit top spot in its first week with sales of 447,000 in 2006.
The project's first single, "
What You Want," climbs the Billboard Rock Songs airplay list, moving from 15 to 13, while speeding to the #17 position on the Alternative Songs chart.
Evanescence are on tour now; this week, they play Dallas (Wed), Milwaukee (Fri), and Chicago on Saturday.
