Fall Out Boy: Worst Christmas Gifts

Fall Out Boy is having a banner year with their hit "Sugar, We're Going Down," and instead of their album title From Under The Cork Tree the band was asked what the worst present they've ever gotten from under the Christmas tree.

Songwriter/bassist Pete Wentz and drummer Andrew Hurley talked about Pete's lousy presents at the Z-100 Jingle Ball, but the story has a twist.

[Wentz] "Me and my dad have the same name so I've gotten a bunch of his presents before, like Golf books and stuff like that." [Hurley] "Are you saying that the worst present you got was a last name?" [Wentz] "The worst present was having my dad (laughs)."

Aww, they're a pretty cool little pop punk band in my opinion, and yah, I do despise Green Day and all that crap.

However, I live in Britan, where they're given no airtime etc., and with the ugliness of their lead singer and the fact that their bassist just reeks of "WTF", I don't blame you all for not liking them.

We all have different music tastes, I like "Take This To Your Grave" the best. I don't like the fact their growing overrated, but you know what? Isn't that what music is about? To be heard, and they've been heard. Good job to a band from Chicago, making it big. Then again there is a limit to it.
I love Fall Out Boy, because their music.
and why do people post nasty things about bands they hate? I mean they just flat out say "They suck" give a reason. And if so then good for you! Congrats! Your achievement? Well...

For the record, I'd rather accomplish something as a MUSICIAN than I would play to thousands of people. It's not the money you make, its the personal rewards that come from making music. I don't care if people like Fall Out Boy...they're as good a band as any other punk band out there today. That's not to say I've gotta put up with people bashing musicianship and the respect people have for those that have accomplished something other than a sold out stadium. If John Petrucci had never played a stadium in his life, I would still respect him more than a guitarist that has done so by avoiding what it means to be a musician.

And one more thing, I love pears, where did you get that I even like SOAD? And since we will never find out whether or not you are a better guitarist than me, I'm not sure that you gained much by saying what you said... maybe you are, maybe you aren't. I don't really care.
