Gary Glitter is a former Brittish Glam Rocker. You may have heard of him by his famous sporting event song "Rock N' Roll (Part II)". Glitter was convicted of molesting two Vietnamese girls.
Bilboard.com posted that he may be released early from his three year sentence early. If granted he could be out as early as May.
Under Vietnamese law, prisoners can be nominated for early release if they have behaved well and their fellow inmates recommend it. Nearly everyone in the jail voted for Glitter's early release.
This wasn't his first offense though. He was convicted in Britain in 1999 of possessing child pornography, and served 2 months in jail. He later went to Cambodia but was expelled from that country in 2002. Cambodian officials didn't specify a crime or file charges against him.
