Gene Simmons Finally Marries Shannon Tweed

The man who claims to have slept with over 4600 women has finally settled down to marry.

Gene Simmons proposed to his long-suffering partner Shannon Tweed in July, following a dramatic incident on TV where Tweed dumped him live on a CNN chat show. It may have been a publicity stunt for their reality TV show which follows their home life much like The Osbournes did with Ozzy's family, but brash comments from Simmons appeared to genuinely upset his partner of 28 years.

The pair patched up their differences and married at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Saturday.

Among the 400 guests where Hugh Hefner, Bill Maher, and of course his fellow Kiss bandmates. Tweed stunned the guests as she entered the ceremony in an ivory white Priscilla Of Boston gown.

The couple's children played a major role in the ceremony, with their son Nick acting as best man and daughter Sophie serving as maid of honour. Sophie also sung the song for their first dance, performing "At Last" by Etta James.

Cynics might think the marriage is yet another ploy for their reality show, but we're pleased to see the couple finally tie the knot. Congratulations Gene!

How many people wait 28 years to get married? 5, yes. 10, sure. Even 15. Twenty eight? You either get married or you don't, if you don't believe in marriage. He obviously didn't, since he went around screwing women. He wasn't married, hence, according to that swine, "it's alright". The fight on tv was a set up and so is this marriage. Gene Simmons is feeling heat from other reality shows and thus must make his life more dramatic. Congratulations, Gene Kardashian.

Personally, I think Shannon threatened a palimony action (which would have little chance of succeeding, btw) and rather than go through the same kind of circus that was the Lee Marvin-Michelle Triola trial, Gene caved and married her.
