Past and present members of Guns N' Roses have been sharing their reaction to news that they will officially join the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame next year.
Although the ceremony will celebrate the original lineup from 25 years ago, Steven Adler was keen to suggest that other members like Matt Sorum and Dizzy Reed should be inducted too.
"
I do believe that Matt Sorum and Dizzy Reed both have every right to be inducted," Adler told Rolling Stone. "
Dizzy did play on "Use Your Illusion", and he's been with Axl longer than anybody. He deserves it. Matt Sorum also played on "Use Your Illusion". I think that the seven of us deserve it."
Adler added that he always knew they would succeed, but still appreciates the public recognition given by the rock ceremony.
"I always knew that we were going to be successful and accomplish and succeed at our dreams," he said. "There was never a doubt in my mind. When we were recording 'Appetite For Destruction,' we all knew."
"Thanks to all of you for overwhelming number of 'congratulations' that I have received today," Duff McKagan said online (via Blabbermouth). "Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame? Life is good! Killer!"
"My sincerest congratulations to Axl Rose and everyone else who has been apart of this band's history," added current Gn'R guitarist DJ Ashba. "Time to deck the halls with destruction!"
Axl Rose has been suspiciously quiet, and Adler thinks he might not even show up on the big day, and felt his answer to a question about a reunion on "That Metal Show" was not a straight answer.
"He seemed to have such a grudge! He didn't even answer," Adler said. "[Axl] said, 'blah blah blah blah.' Then he said something about, "I don't know what they're expecting of me and expecting of the old band." What do you mean what they're expecting? Can't we just be f-----g people who played music and accomplished a huge goal in their life and just play a couple songs?"
