GN'R: New 'Album Tracks' Leaked

Nine new “mastered” and “finished” Guns N' Roses songs, purported to be from the band's long-awaited album 'Chinese Democracy', have appeared online.

The leak includes six songs that have been appeared before in unfinished form and three songs - 'Rhiad and the Bedouins', 'If the World' and an unnamed track – that are all apparently new productions.

All nine songs, which appeared on the music blog Antiquiet yesterday (June 18th), have since been taken down at the request of the band.

“The player has been at least temporarily removed, because it basically broke the entire internet. Also, we got a call from Guns N Roses,” a statement on Antiquiet reads.

According to Billboard, the three new productions are all trademark Guns N Roses tracks, featuring “down-and-dirty” guitar parts and “piano-led crooning”.

Production on 'Chinese Democracy', which was last scheduled for release in March 2007, originally began in 1994 and has cost the band's frontman Axl Rose a reported $13million.

They were pretty sweet, if it's true he has several albums of material like this.....I think it was worth the wait if there was no other way Axl could have gotten this.

personally, I like the new stuff. Its no GNR, but I like it as an Axl Rose solo project. Some of the songs are really good, and I love the song "Better." The solo in that is awesome. people do realize that it hasn't taken all this time to write the material right? the main hold-up is business problems....i mean when you go through the recording with 2 different bands, it's gonna be expensive and then you have to figure out who wrote what so no-ones getting ripped off

The funny thing is that this album is very very unlikely to ever make the $13 million that he spent back. He has spent all this time on an album which even if it is good, it won't be a ground breaking new genre starting masterpiece. Seems like Axl has spent $13 million to make say between $5-10 million. It didn't say that Finck quit, he's just working with NIN, doesn't mean he won't go back to GNR. Especially once this hit's retail, i'm very impressed with the quality of these releases, they are obviously studio/production releases. Probably Axl's idea to leak them....if so, brilliant move, this is going to cause a peak in excitement for sure.
