According to Blabbermouth.net, GWAR frontman Oderus Urungus slammed Hellyeah during his group's April 25 performace in Buffalo, New York, calling them "fat, dumbass, tattooed ignorant, inbred f--ks" and making fun of Hellyeah's band name.
Before Oderus and his bandmates launched into "The Uberklaw" from their 2009 album, "Lust In Space", the frontman addressed the crowd with the following tirade (see video below):
"How 'bout that new Hellyeah record? Pretty good, huh? What a great name for a band - Hell, yeah. That is so awesome. How did those fat, stupid dudes from Texas ever come up with something so awesome? How did those fat, dumbass, tattooed, ignorant, inbred f--ks ever come up with such an amazing idea as Hellyeah? Wow, Stephen Hawking, move over! Hahahahaha!"
The next day, the members of Hellyeah themselves responded via Twitter, writing, "We"d like to thank Gwar's lead singer for talking shit about us at one of their shows. Classy guy...yay you!"
Hellyeah singer Chad Gray added next day, "I don't know what all the hype is on this gwar thing. I think it's an honor to be ripped on by gwar! They're awesome! Thanks oderus!"

vinnie paul has only been in one ok band throughout his career, and even then, the majority of pantera's work sucked. vinnie paul is overrated for sure. hell yeah is just as bad as damageplan.

The new Hellyeah record doesn't even come out till July, so I'd like to know how Oderus got a copy of it. But seriously, GWAR is a parody band so nothing they say can really be taken seriously. I do love that Chad Gray has a sense of humor about the whole thing.
GWAR is pretty much the walking roast for bands. They talk shit to bands not because they feel they deserve it, it's because it's all for kicks. Hell even the band members liked it getting roasted and if they're alright with it, then I don't see what's really the big deal to get mad at it.
I like both bands anyway so even if bridges are gonna be burned, I'm still gonna listen to their music and like it if I do.

One thing that this article made me want to do. Listen to Hellyeah. One thing it didn't make me want to do...listen to Gwar, which is something, I've never had the desire to do.
this article made me want to check out hell yeah and see how bad they are....they were exactly how i expected them to sound. overproduced, redneck rock. they sound like all of those awful awful bands from the early 2000s, like godsmack and static x.

Saw GWAR play the last show of the "Farewell Flattus"/Return of the World Maggot tour on Saturday. It was amazing and ended in a great tribute to Corey Smoot at the end.

I saw Hellyeah open up for Disturbed and Avenged sevenfold along with Halestorm and stonesour. I didn't LOVE them but they were pretty good, about as good as Gwar.

He isn't Lombardo or Portnoy, but he's damn good. I personally love Lars, he's one of my biggest drumming influences, but Vinnie is better. Plus I think what Vinnie played in Pantera was perfect for them.

Metal artists are, for the most part, embraced by the relatively lower-class. To say that the metal scene today is rife with ignorance and fat dumbasses is like making a point of how the sky is blue. It just doesn't make sense. If this GROAR or whatever guy wants to complain about how some people are a little backwards, maybe metal isn't for him. It doesn't matter how silly or ignorant people are. You only alienate yourself by trying to be so utterly PC (and by extension, self-righteous) all the time.

Hellyeah is bad, but Vinnie Paul played a pretty big role in the production, engineering, and mixing of most of Pantera's albums. He's not some retard who hits things to make loud noises.
