Nine Inch Nails, who are in the midst of a handful of Los Angeles shows that the group is billing as its last-ever concerts, have pulled the plug on yesterday's (9/3) planned performance so that frontman Trent Reznor can recover from an apparent illness.
"We're very sorry to announce that Trent is ill, and on his doctor's orders we will not be able to perform tonight's show at the Henry Fonda Theater," the group said in a statement posted early this morning at NIN's website. It appears the band doesn't plan to reschedule the show, writing instead that "reimbursement details will be posted as soon as we figure them out; likely within the next 24 hours."
The decision to scrap the show was made after the performance at Los Angeles' Hollywood Palladium, during which
Reznor battled vocal problems brought on by his illness, according to posts on
NIN's official message board.
NIN's final two performances - both in Los Angeles - are scheduled for Saturday (9/5) at the Wiltern Theatre, and Sunday (9/6) at Echoplex.
