James Durbin has added two new players to his band.
Drummer Jeff Fabb and guitarist Blake Bunzel have left Southern California metal group In This Moment to join Durbin, who releases his debut, "Memories Of A Beautiful Disaster", On November 21.
Durbin shared the news in a recent interview with Noisecreep:
"I'm really excited about the guys I have playing with me", said James. "My lead guitarist, Dylan, also plays in a metal band called Archer - who you might know from them opening for bands like Black Label Society. Our bassist, Tyle, played in a glam band called Dirty Penny. Our rhythm guitarist Blake Bunzel and drummer Jeff Fabb left the band In This Moment and are now doing this with me full time."
A few days later, In This Moment let their fans in on the news, via their Facebook page, writing:
"We want to announce that Jeff and Blake are no longer a part of In This Moment. They have left the band to support 'American Idol' contestant James Durbin, and we wish them the best in their future endeavors. We are embracing this change with open arms, and a renewed spirit... sometimes you have to let go of whats in your hands to reach for something greater!"
"In ...the meantime, we are back in the studio, writing for our new album and the new songs are sounding better than anything we've done to date, we are aiming for a summer 2012 release so get ready and look out for a bigger and badder ITM in the coming year, thank you again to our friends and fans for all your love and support!"
"Love Me Bad", the new James Durbin video, premieres this Wednesday, November 16.
I'm actually curious to see how this whole James Durbin things pans out. He did a lot better at performing on American Idol than Adam Lambert, and it's sounding like Durbin has Lambert beat at post-Idol success as well.
As for this article... hmmm... Nope, still thinking about Maria Brink.
Yep..that's what I'm thinking about too
For a split second I thought I was concerned about the bands future. Then I realized I don't really listen to the music very much. As long as Maria Brink is ok, I'm intrested in this new durbin project.
I would play guitar for her...and also do her very hard..
But, good for the band anyone. Really shows where those douche's hearts are if they left a decent metal bad for Daughtry Jr. Money money money money money.....Money!
He better enjoy his fifteen minutes of fame with his band cause it aint gonna last long .... Better milk it for all its worth buddy cause in a year or two your gonna be worth nothin of nothin .
That preview was horrible, there's nothing wrong with ballads but if you're going to pose as a heavy act you can't have that corny song (at least the little I could preview) as a single, he's not making any difference with the others american idol participants, it sounded like bon jovi.
*sigh*
I was hoping James might actually amount to something; he actually seemed to have some semblance of talent
But judging from that preview....
*sigh*
Have you heard his Higher than Heaven? This ballad is tame boring stuff. I guess he has to release that for mainstream radio. But Higher Than Heaven is great. Go listen to it on itunes on his ping profile. You can listen to the whole song. It really is good. I hope the rest of the album is more like Higher than Heaven.
The Octane channel on SIRIUS Radio plays his other single which is really heavy and powerful. I actually really like it. This preview gives a really bad example of what he's actually about.

This.
I don't really know if they're the ones writing the music, but this will be interesting to see how their future work pans out. I saw them in 2007 with Ozzy and Rob Zombie and thought they sucked, but my music taste has changed since.

tbh, ITM are not really a 'decent' metal band, Maria isn't that good looking and how are these guys 'douches' if they want to make money out of music?
Fun fact: most bands, if not all, are in the music biz for money.
No doubt these guys will get alot of cash writing & touring with Durbin, how could you blame them?
Maybe I shouldn't judge by that small preview, but it looked pretty awful... In This Moment, on the other hand, is amazing! Hopefully things work out well for them.

Why do bands always say that their next album is the best stuff they've ever wrote? It almost never seems true.
To me it's like when a band plays live and they tell every crowd at every stop that they're the best they've had the whole tour even if it's a lie. What happens when you don't say it's the best? Will people still buy it?
"I'm really excited about the guys I have playing with me", said James.
ha.
also, who is the Zakk Wylde wannabe playing 4 chords trying way too hard to look cool in the preview?
its a sappy, radio-friendly love ballad, not thrash metal, turn it down a notch
I would play guitar for her...and also do her very hard..

But they're not a decent metal band, they're awful and barely qualify as metal anyway. I'd rather play for an American Idol dude than them.
Hey did he just die? Because that sounded like someone dying, then he flopped motionless toward the end... I hope so, so this poser bitch michael bolton wannabe would just dissappear all ready... I feel for ya, ITM fans. Not one my self, but if members of a band i like left to go with him id be confused and heartbroken...
