I'm guessing that he needs money for Three Man Records, I doubt the prices would be that high otherwise. Sadly, I can't sign up until December, since I don't have a credit card or w/e

This opened like a month ago, I already subscribed.

$7 a month isn't bad if you think about it, there's a lot of cool stuff on the site.

Plus it's not just White Stripes, it's Raconteurs, Dead Weather, and there's also a Third Man Records site. I recommend at least a Premium Membership to avid fans of his work.

Yeah it sounds like a cool idea...yeah im a jack white fan....yeah he probably could've dropped prices a little so his fan's WITHOUT A SHIT-TON OF MONEY could enjoy his new website too. I almost feel like he's making this website like a rich person's country club. Only the people who have enough pennies can get in.

I'm pretty sure there are more die-hard jack white fans that dont have money to spend 60 bucks on a website than there are that do have that kind of money.

A little disappointing jack....but again im sure he doesnt mean for it to be that way but it is. Props for a cool idea tho.

The first full album is Icky Thump mixed in mono and the 45 is a couple covers from Dead Weather.

I might be wrong, but i think the vault is a company not owned by the whitestripes... THe vault decides the price to subscribe to it, not the whitestripes.

It took a while a for someone to mention that. That's exactly what I was thinking when I read that paragraph.

One thing that marketing has taught me is that the value of commericial goods is relative. These Arms Are Snakes (well, someone from TAAS) is selling a GIBSON (this how it [tangently] ties in with this article) scratch, Epi Special 2 for $150. Crap guitar, but with loads of sigs from Mastodon, Cursive, TAAS, and Against Me!.
I thinking of getting it.
Paying that much for a years worth of Whites Stripes?

Creating demand is all about bending and wrapping the perception of cash and the item you are buying.

Sorry, relapsing. Everyone says overpriced, I hand-out my rationale.
One thing I'll say is that you never talk about price until after you've demonstrated you're product.

$20 a month would be better spent on securing a spot in the REAL Vault. Preferably 101...

Amen to that! I think this stuff is gonna be rare material within the next 15 years. I really do think so because not many people are gonna sign up. Folks already think that the membership is too high.

I'm surprised it too THIS long to get a Fallout reference... Anywho, probably not something I'm going to do until I get surplus cash to blow on this venture, but considering the exorbitant prices you see on other bands' subscription sites, it's not too bad, honestly.

I mean if this were a service where like, you get a new vinyl release every month, I'd think that would be something Jack could have done to keep to what he had said a couple of weeks back, and it would have been a cool idea (imo). Then again, he issued the "I hate guitar hero" statement after Blue Orchid was already in GH5 so whatever. He usually contradicts himself anyway, intentionally or not.
