Jack White's Third Man Records has announced a series of live in-studio performances that will be open to the public and then pressed onto limited-edition vinyl.
The shows, which will give young music fans who can’t get into over-21 shows a chance to see their favorite acts, also provide bands with an opportunity to play for a crowd and record a live album in White’s custom-designed studio.
Multi-angle videos of the performances will be posted on Third Man’s
website. The
Dex Romweber Duo kicked off the series with a February 4 performance.
Those who attend the performances will not only have the opportunity to spin records on open turntables before and after the show, but they can also snag a limited edition black and blue vinyl LP of the live recording. If you can’t get to Music City, plain black LPs will be available online.
