Jimi Hendrix App To Arrive On His Birthday

Say you’re ready for the Jimi Hendrix experience for your phone? Now, the Hendrix-obsessed can get their hands on the Jimi Hendrix, "The Complete Experience" app for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch, available on the iTunes App Store. The app arrives just in time to celebrate Hendrix’s birthday on November 27.

The app features information about albums, live performances, documentaries, images and offers the option to purchase anything found on the app from the iTunes store. Users may also go one step further and take the "experience" into the living room by streaming video to their TVs using AirPlay and their Apple TVs or streaming music to their AirPlay-enabled speakers. That’s a lot of Hendrix!

The app also notifies users when there are near areas of importance to the Hendrix legacy, such as Electric Lady Studios or the Experience Music Project Museum. In other words, the app acts almost like a Jimi Hendrix-enabled GPS.

So, wish Hendrix a happy birthday with the app!

Not that I don't love Jimi (because I do love him quite a lot) but we all know this is just another way to get money out of people. They've been milking Hendrix for money 30 years after his death, this is just getting ridiculous. I could understand stuff like this if money (or at least some) went to one of his charity's, but come on, we all know the people that make things like this are just money wh*res.

Every since he died its all been about the family raping his legacy. I can't think of one thing they've done that he would have agreed with. Even to the point, i believe, of ignoring his wish of being buried near the thames if he ever died but i could be mistaken.

It's Experience Hendrix LTD. that's doing all this shit. His (not actually related) sister janie owns it and is abusing everything she can to make money of it. It's disgusting and makes me not want to buy anything they sell which is tough. I despise her for so many reasons.
