Jimi Hendrix, Queen Music Enters Grammy Hall Of Fame

Music including Jimi Hendrix's rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner", Queen's 1977 single "We are the Champions/We Will Rock You" and The Police's 1983 album "Synchronicity" has been added to the Grammy Hall Of Fame.

The Hall Of Fame now has 826 titles, chosen by a members committee of historians and experts since its inception in 1973.

Many of the titles will form part of the Grammy Museum, a four-floor exhibition centre which is set to open in Los Angeles on December 6.

In total, 28 new titles have been added to the library, including Stevie Wonder's "For Once In My Life", "Sweet Home Alabama" by Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Ennio Morricone's soundtrack for "The Good, The Bad And The Ugly", reports BBC.

BB King is set to perform a cover of another entry, Louis Jourdan's "Let The Good Times Roll", at a nomination ceremony at the Los Angeles Nokia Theatre on December 3.

i agree, call me the breeze and curtis loew take the cake

but i'm more surprised that a whole Police album is in while more deserving artists only have one song

well seeing as the panel as mostly made up of historians...i think they're looking for songs with historical importance. not the best. and in that...i sort of agree with them.

the police are a great band, but a whole album of theirs is a bit much
