Jimmy Page Upset By Olympics Snub
Jimmy Page closed the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics alongside a London double decker bus, crunching out Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love", but nobody asked him to take part in the actual London Olympics this year. According to British newspaper The Daily Telegraph, the legendary guitarist is "upset" that he was not asked to be involved with the London games. "Of course, I'm feeling rather hurt," he told The Telegraph at the Diamond Jubilee Celebration of the Arts at the Royal Academy. "We put so much into Beijing, but weren't helped by the Chinese giving us next-to-no practice time." Thanks for the report to Andrew Vaughan, Gibson.com.
