Kasabian guitarist Serge Pizzorno has voiced his concern over the bleak outlook of the album format, due to current trends in music buying.
Sales of full albums have dropped recently, as fans purchase individual songs rather than the full package - and Serge feels the change could harm in the biz.
"Personally, I always write an album, make an album and put it out." Pizzorno told the Daily Star. "That's how we bought music, and that's how I've always sought music."
"
That will never change and that is the best way to have an album."
Serge continued. "
I don't want the album to die in three to four years."
"I would hate that to be lost because you are missing out on the beauty of a record being part of your life."
Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan shares a similar opinion, as he chipped in: "Kids now don't even think of it as much as they just click on music and they have it. The romance is pretty much dead."
