Kirk Hammett To Join GN'R?

As reported by AF website, Kirk Hammet thinking about joining Guns N' Roses to help them with "Chinese Democracy" album recording. AF representative was able to reach Kirk via phone and ask him to explain his decision.

"I don't like what we did on our latest studio album, "St. Anger". To tell you the thruth, I understand all those people which blaim us for the lack of solos in it. Yeah, I really do." - said Kirk Hammett of Metallica. "I wrote like fifty to sixty ten-minutes long solo riffs for that album. But Lars [Ulrich] said he is angry for me, because no one can hear his drum beats and enjoy them as much as my solos because my solos are too loud. Anyway, Axl made me a call a few weeks ago and asked me to join GN'R to help with "Chinese Democracy" recording." So, unsatisfaction was one of the main reason for his decision to quit from Metallica for a time.

As we reported recently, Buckethead, GNR's latest solo guitarist, left the band (read "It's Official: Buckethead Left GN'R"), so this spot is free for now. The eccentric musician, who wears a fried-chicken bucket on his noggin and talks only through a hand puppet, has walked out before but has always returned to the fold. This time, however, it looks permanent. At the end of last year, Buckethead became fed up with Guns' inability to complete an album or tour and stopped working with them, his manager said.

No official statement have been made yet, but Kirk looks very positive to joining Guns N' Roses. Probably "Chinese Democracy" will see a daylight soon. Who knows if it will be as good as "Use Your Illusion" or "Black Album". Now it's a matter of a time.
