Korn's Jonathan Davis: Metallica's 'St. Anger' Is Shit

Korn vocalist Jonathan Davis recently gave Swedish journalist Martin Carlsson his opinion on Metallica's latest album "St. Anger".

"I think it's the shittiest thing I ever heard in my life!" he said. "I respect those guys immensely since some of those songs are great. Some of that shit sounds like it's beginners' shit. I understand they're going for a new raw and heavy sound, but that's just shit. I don't get it. I like some of the songs, it's cool and it's not [me] talking shit [about them] at all, but the production is just horrible. I know what they're trying to get across, but Lars [Ulrich]'s snare drum is the most irritating thing I've heard in my whole life."

At one point Korn were pretty good, not amazin, just pretty good, all there new stuff's shit. At one point Metallica were the best, they were the band to listen to, and in my opinion they still are. St.Anger the first time I listened to it, I obviously thought this is completely different to anything they've ever done, the second time I listened to it, I got it... since then I've realised it's one of the best albums out there, the more you listen to it, the better you realise it is. And all you ppl sayin that Lars drums suck, need to get your heads checked. Lars drummin's just more in your face, and more aggresive. Jonathon Davies has lost his old self, the old self that actually had a clue what he was doin, he just wanted a bit of publicity so he decided to come forward and give his opinion on St.Anger, and he just happens to be one of many dumbasses out there that think St.Anger is shit, and I agree with everyone thats said Korn've sucked since there 2nd cd cus its true, they have. When I heard Metallica's new cd 'I was like WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS!!, I like the old Metallica better, with ***in badass songs and badass solos,
and Korn I like the 1,2,3,4 albums, I liked some songs on their 5th album ,Untouchables. TALITM is such a catchy album, but I do love Issues & Untitled. All KoRn's songs are catchy, well written AND they created Nu-Metal! Could it be any more better? Oh, yes.. Jonathan with a versatile voice. Jonathan is AMAZING at any kind of singing - whether it's shouting, singing, humming, ANYTHING. Plus he's HOT AS FUCK!!

st anger was a tough time for metallica, jason had left and james was going to rehab and going through hell and i think that st anger reflects on the mood of metallica in that time. Its not my favourite metallica album but personally i think it has some good songs that give off a certain mood if you get what i'm saying. so what if there's no solos and kind of annoying snare drum. I think metallica should be able to do what metallica want
