Lenny Kravitz Denies Rumors About Joining Velvet Revolver

Lenny Kravitz has denied reports linking him to the vacant singing position in Velvet Revolver.

“I know and love the Velvet Revolver guys but there is no truth to the story about me joining their band,” Kravitz told Rolling Stone.

A report in yesterday's Sun newspaper claimed that Kravitz had been spotted in the studio with the band, who have been without a frontman since Scott Weiland's departure in April.

Kravitz added that he has been busy touring Europe and has had no contact with the rest of Velvet Revolver.

Last week, Velvet Revolver denied that Spacehog frontman Royston Langdon will be unveiled as their new singer, despite his recent performance with the group.

wow, the fastest turnaround I've seen on UG. Just this morning I saw the rumor that Lenny was joining. could we please refrain from the rumors until we hear it from VR themselves? the media seems to have been wrong about it at every turn so far.

I think Bach would also be the best choice,they need to forget about someone who can sing their old songs because they suck anyways,move forward into a new direction.

Guns N' Roses + Jane's Addiction = Velvet Revolver

That (almost) makes sense. About a week ago, Slash jammed with Perry Farrell at this year's Lollapalooza, so I assume Perry might fit in.

^ Farrell isn't the right guy, his voice is too different from scott, better or worse it would be a completely different band. If they add him they should change the name.

Phil would be... interesting. So would Lenny Kravitz. Why the hell do stupid rumors like this pop up anyway?

Oh and I forgot to mention: a MASSIVE +1 to anyone who mentioned Izzy joining VR, it would probably be as close to a Gnr reunion as we'll ever get and they would be amazing together, only problem is there would be three guitarists so that might be overkill.
