Liam Gallagher Recruits Last Shadow Puppet For New Band

According to Gigwise, Liam Gallagher recently hosted a launch party for his new clothing label Pretty Green where he tried to persuade Miles Kane to form a band with him.

The Oasis frontman spent most of the evening chatting to Kane of The Last Shadow Puppets about starting a band together. One source stated "Liam was being really passionate. It looked like he was recruiting."

The Last Shadow Puppets was a side-project created by Kane and Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner. Under the name, the duo released The Age Of The Understatement, a debut album that received mediocre reviews but did well on the UK Albums Chart and several Billboard Charts. Kane was also the former singer/guitarist of The Rascals who broke up earlier this year.

Other attendees at the launch party included Richard Ashcroft, Kasabian and Liam Howlett and Keith Flint of The Prodigy.

No one cares about anyone ever involved in Oasis anymore.

As much as i freaking love Oasis they were way past their use by date. Liam by himself has the talent of a fork and his voice sounds like someone is sodomizing a cat with a pointy stick. Unless the Gallagher brothers can work their differences out, the only place for Liam in the music industry is a guest judge on The X-Factor.
Noel's solo endeavor will be interesting as I expect it will sound similar to Oasis. But as much as he is a brilliant musician he is a "has-been"
They need to put their differences behind them and stop acting like 10 year olds. Then they can get their band back together, make a bijillion dollars, and everyone will be happy. And eventually they can look back at the breakup as just another fight.

Liam wants someone else to write his music and lyrics for him, that he can sing, and steal all the limelight.

Noel's got the best chance of success he can write great songs, and I think no longer being committed to Oasis will allow him to bring out some bitchin' new material. Liam's best output was 'songbird' the musical equivalent of tripping over your own shoelaces, the guy is just too 'Oasis', he's destined to fail. He'll realise he cant do it on his own in a few years and try and get the band back together, but Noel might be too busy with his own stuff...
