Man Dies in Wreck Involving 18-Wheeler Transporting Motley Crue Equipment
A 47-year-old man was killed Friday morning (August 15) in a collision with a semi-trailer truck hauling equipment for Mötley Crüe, Blabbermouth reports.

Michael Wayne Marsh's vehicle crashed with an 18-wheeler around 4:15 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-65 at exit 280 in Jefferson County, Alabama. The 18-wheeler jackknifed, and shut down the on-ramp to I-65 at that exit.

Marsh was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the 18-wheeler was transported to a hospital.

The incident was not expected to affect Mötley Crüe's performance Friday night at Oak Mountain Amphitheatre in Birmingham, Alabama.

This is not the first mishap involving a vehicle carrying equipment for Mötley Crüe. Back in September 2012, a truck transporting about $6 million worth of equipment for the band's tour with KISS crashed en route to the two bands' concert in Clarkston, Michigan. The driver of the truck in that incident, Charles Lamb, told state troopers that the truck drifted left as he reached for a water bottle. Lamb overcorrected to the right and the truck veered into a ditch next to the highway. Lamb, who was cited for failure to control a vehicle, was taken to a local hospital for "non-incapacitating injuries."
